George E. Dow, Jr. was born in Superior, Wisconsin, raised in Minot, North Dakota, and graduated from Superior Central High School, Superior, Wisconsin in 1950.  He received a B.A. from Yale University in 1954, and served as an officer in the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1957.  He then received his J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1960 and began private practice with the firm in the fall of 1960 after his admission to the Minnesota Bar.  George is now retired from the practice of law.

George was admitted to practice before the Federal and Minnesota Bars.  He was a member of the Steele County, 5th District and Minnesota Bar Associations, having served as an officer of local bar organizations over the years.  He also served as Owatonna City Attorney from 1964 to 1973.  George’s areas of practice have involved family law, real estate, business organizations, wills and estate planning and probate.

In Owatonna, George has organized, incorporated and served numerous non-profit organizations, including the United Way, Youth Hockey, Habitat for Humanity, Owatonna School District Foundation and the Steele County Food Shelf, and remains active in the community.  He has also been very active with Trinity Lutheran Church since 1960, and currently serves as President of the Trinity Foundation.
